Watching Birds in an Actuary with Nate Bargatze

So I'm watching the wonderful "Your Friend, Nate Bargatze" on Netflix and I get a shout-out to none other than . . . actuaries.  My friends Bruce C. (an actuary) and Izzy G. (not an actuary) like to tell the joke about how the difference between actuaries and accountants is that accountants look at YOUR shoes when they talk to you (or is it visa versa?) (or is it a self-confident vs. shy actuary) (or does it matter?).  So, anyway, Nate makes you think for a moment that, notwithstanding the foregoing, he recognizes that actuaries (like ERISA lawyers?) really do rock.  And then, as follows, he goes and tears it all down:  "Our neighbors are super-cool. . . .  Our other neighbor's an actuary.  I thought that was with birds."  Oof.  Ha.

Happy Holidays!
