Some movies were made to be seen on airplanes. They're largely useless, but they occupy time. Mickey 17 was such a movie for me.
The movie seemed to me to be a combination of Everything Everywhere All at Once (it didn't REALLY win the Oscar, did it?) and Parasite* (it didn't REALLY win the Oscar, did it?), with a little Starship Troopers (now THERE's a good movie!) thrown in. One thing it did have was Batman. Well, maybe more accurately, Robert Pattinson.
Anyway, Pattinson's Mickey (I won't get into details here) found himself bemoaning his lack of ERISA benefits, both pension and welfare - so that's how Mickey 17 makes it to this post. The line that caught my eye was:
"I would have been filthy rich by now with life insurance, except, obviously, Expendables[**] are uninsurable. There’s no workers’ comp, no unions, no pension benefits."
That was enough to make the experience worth it for me.*** Doesn't take much, especially on an airplane.

* Same filmmaker.
** Not a Stallone reference.
** There was also the laugh-out-loud moment where Toni Collette's Ylfa hilariously asks someone (I'm trying to avoid a spoiler here) who's in obviously excruciating pain, "Are you really OK?"
